(CORPUS CHRISTI, FEBRUARY 2020) — The victim in the fatal crash on Crosstown Expressway has been identified.
According to authorities, 20-year-old Briana Cruz was driving on Crosstown Expressway near Horne Road when her vehicle crashed into a guard rail and then landed upside down on a nearby frontage road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
However, the three other passengers in the vehicle survived the accident. A man in his 20s was saved from the vehicle as well as Cruz’s 3-year-old and 1-year-old son. One of the children is reportedly in stable condition while the other is in serious condition. Both are expected to survive.
The investigation into the crash is still continuing.
