SINTON, TX – a Jeep ran into a Volkswagen on Monday after failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of East Market Street and North Sunshine Avenue.
The Sinton Police Department reports that at 7:47 a.m. on May 11 a blue 2010 Jeep ran a stop sign at an intersection. The Jeep collided with a white 2015 Volkswagen and caused serious vehicle damage.
The front-right portion of the Jeep ran into the oncoming Volkswagen’s left-front bumper. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. The drivers had to call a tow truck to remove both cars from the scene of the accident.
A police officer reports that at least one of the drivers was injured in the crash. However, they have provided no additional information about this injury.
The Jeep’s driver will be held responsible for the accident because they failed to obey the stop sign.
