PHARR, TX – At least three people were injured as the results of a crash involving five vehicles in Pharr Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred along U.S. 281 at Earling Road at about 2:04 p.m. Police believe the 26-year-old male driver of a 2014 Ford fell asleep behind the wheel causing him to collide with another vehicle. The first collision caused a chain-reaction that resulted in a five-car pileup on the freeway.
Three people sustained injuries in the crash, including the driver of the Ford. Details regarding the severity of their injuries are not available at this time.
