SAN ANTONIO, TX – Investigators with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office are looking into the cause of a fatal rear-end collision involving a semi-truck early Friday morning.
According to News 4 SA, the accident occurred along Highway 16 near the intersection with Smith Road. Officials at the scene say the semi was rear-ended by a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 61-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
