SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man in San Antonio was killed while attempting to cross a busy Southeast Side highway Monday evening.
According to KSAT, The accident occurred at about 6 p.m. along Loop 410 near Rigsby Avenue and Southcross Boulevard.
Police say the unidentified man was attempting to cross the busy northbound lanes away from any crosswalk when he was struck by a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck. Officials pronounced him deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver involved remained at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Police do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending further investigation.
