ALTON, TX – Officials with the Alton Police Department responded to a head-on collision near the Palm Lake Estates Number 4 Colonia Saturday afternoon.
The collision occurred along Stewart Avenue between the intersections with Mahala Avenue and East Filmore Avenue at about 1:38 p.m.
Investigators believe the collision occurred when the 53-year-old male driving a 2005 Nissan failed to yield to the right of way of a 2015 Toyota at a stop sign and collided head-on with the second vehicle.
No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the collision. However, both vehicles sustained significant damage to their front ends.
