SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle near a busy San Antonio intersection early Wednesday morning.
According to KSAT, the collision was reported shortly before 7 a.m. near the intersection of E. Commerce Street and I-37 downtown.
Police say that an unhoused man was crossing Commerce St. away from the designated crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle under an interstate overpass.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene to render aid to the man. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries not expected to be life-threatening.
No charges are expected to be filed against the driver involved in the accident.
