VON ORMY, TX – Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office have reported two fatalities resulting from a head-on collision on the far southwest side Wednesday morning.
According to News 4 SA, the accident occurred near the intersection of Loop 1604 and Benton City Road.
Investigators believe a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver ran off the side of the roadway. In the process of returning to the roadway, the driver overcorrected and ended up in the oncoming lane, where they collided head-on with another vehicle.
Two people died at the scene of the crash. Details regarding the identity of the victims have not yet been released.
