SAN ANTONIO, TX – An elderly man from San Antonio is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning.
According to CBS Austin, the crash occurred at about midnight Sunday along Evers Road.
Once arrived, emergency crews discovered an older man lying in the road with his wheelchair off to the side. He was transported to University Hospital where he remains in stable condition as of Monday evening.
Police say the man was in the roadway at the time of the crash. The driver involved remained at the scene to render assistance to the victim. That person is not expected to face any charges at this time.
