MCALLEN, TX – At least two women were injured as the result of a rear-end collision near the Tropical Village neighborhood last Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. within the intersection of South Ware Road and U.S. Business 83.
Police say the McAllen car accident occurred when the 21-year-old male driver of a 2003 Volkswagen was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to notice stopped or slowed traffic in front of him. His vehicle then collided with the rear of a 2017 Ford.
Both occupants in the Ford, a 61-year-old woman and a 67-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in the crash.
