CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – An early morning collision resulted in a number of people in the Corpus Christi area losing power last Thursday.
According to KIII, the accident was reported at about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Weber Road and O’Day Parkway.
Responding officers believe the unidentified driver in a blue Charger was traveling south on Weber Road when they fell asleep behind the wheel and struck a utility pole. A nearby tractor-trailer then struck the downed wires, nearly cutting the trailer in half.
Fortunately, neither driver involved sustained injuries in the crash. However, the driver in the Charger was cited as a result.
