DONNA, TX – Two elderly people suffered injuries resulting from a three-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in Donna last weekend.
The accident took place on May 1st at about 6 p.m. within the 2100 block of North Goolie Road, just north of I-2.
Responding officers say the 45-year-old man behind the wheel of a 1999 International tractor-trailer failed to yield the right of way and struck a 2010 Ford and a third, unspecified vehicle.
The truck driver was unhurt. However, both occupants in the Ford, an 84–year-old man and an 80-year-old woman sustained minor injuries as a result.
It is unclear if any occupants in the third vehicle were hurt.
