MCALLEN, TX – A male passenger was injured as the result of a single-vehicle crash near I-2 earlier this week.
The June 9th crash occurred at about 11:30 a.m. within the 1400 block of South 2nd Street, just north of the I-2 overpass.
Responding officers with the McAllen Police Department believe the driver of a 2019 Ford, a 23-year-old man, was fatigued or asleep when his vehicle crashed head-on into a fixed object.
The man behind the wheel and the front seat passenger were both unhurt in the crash. However, the 47-year-old passenger in the back seat sustained unknown injuries.
