SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver fatally struck and dragged a woman who was attempting to cross the street near Castroville Rd and S. General McMullen Dr Thursday, according to Fox San Antonio.
An elderly woman was driving a caravan when she struck the victim crossing the street. The driver was unaware she struck anyone and dragged the victim several ft until she was stopped by an ambulance that was driving by.
EMS crews attempted to perform life-saving measures on the victim, but she died at the scene.
Police do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash and did not charge the driver.
