DONNA, TX – Valley Central reports that a man died following a rollover crash Saturday on Old La Blanca Rd and Mile 10 North Rd.
Police tried to stop a Kia Optima driven by Jose Jaime Villa, 29, for a traffic violation around 1:07 a.m. Villa fled from police and headed south on Mile 6 Rd at excessive speeds. Villa lost control of his vehicle while entering a construction zone and collided with two mounds of gravel, which caused the Kia to roll over on its side.
First responders pronounced Villa dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
