Teen hurt in social media stunt on West Point Rd near Greenwood Dr

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A 17-year-0ld boy was seriously injured while surfing on top of a car on West Point Rd near Greenwood Dr on January 15.

According to KIII, the teen snuck out of his grandmother’s house as she slept to go joyriding. The teen was on top of the car when he flew off the vehicle.

The people the teen was joyriding with brought him to his grandmother, Tricia Stallion, following the accident. He wasn’t breathing, so Stallion performed CPR. The teen was taken to a hospital for emergency brain surgery. A piece of his skull was removed in the process.

The teen was still recovering at a rehab center as of Thursday, KIII reports.
