I think Mick Mulvaney said out loud what most of the Congress members actually do whether consciously or not.
“We had a hierarchy in my office in Congress,” the head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said Tuesday at the American Bankers Association conference in Washington. “If you’re a lobbyist who never gave us money, I didn’t talk to you. If you’re a lobbyist who gave us money, I might talk to you.”

This is the problem in Washington and in particular with this administration. This is why the moneyed interests are heard but not the regular people. It doesn’t help that our president sees nothing wrong with “making money” while in office even from people with a clear conflict of interest. Register to vote now. Let’s get them out of office!
