MISSION, TX – A driver died after he collided with another vehicle on FM 2221 east of Texan Rd Saturday night, according to KRGV.
Jose Gilberto Ayala, 32, was driving a Nissan Altima when he collided with a Dodge Nitro at around 9:30 p.m.
First responders transported the driver of the Nitro, as well as a passenger, to an area hospital with minor injuries. Ayala was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Texas Department of Safety is investigating the collision.
