SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KENS 5, a man lost his life in a single-vehicle collision at Villamain Rd and Mission Rd Sunday.
A 36-year-old male was driving a Chevrolet Chrysler 300 at excessive speeds when he strayed off the road and collided with multiple wooden poles, a light pole, and a tree at around 2:19 a.m.
The impact ejected a passenger from the vehicle. First responders pronounced the passenger dead at the scene of the accident.
Firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle before transporting him to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Authorities will charge the driver with manslaughter once he is released from the hospital.
