CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Heavy traffic on South Padre Island Drive caused an 8 car accident, backing up the road for hours.
The incident occurred earlier today near the Kostoryz exit on South Padre Island Drive. According to KRIS, a driver on the road engaged his brakes too quickly causing his vehicle as well as 7 others to collide.
The aftermath of the accident caused heavy traffic on South Padre Island Drive for quite some time afterwards.
Police have not reported any injuries resulting from the crash, despite the magnitude of the accident. Police have also not found any drivers to be at fault for the accident at this time.
