SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police arrested an alleged impaired driver after he crashed into a police vehicle at N Frio St and N Medina St Friday, according to KSAT.
The driver of a Toyota Camry was on northbound Frio St when he collided with a police car on southbound Frio St. The suspect then fled the area at a high rate of speed.
Police say the driver proceeded to drive north in the southbound lanes to avoid traffic before running a red light on W Commerce St. The driver lost control of the Camry and crashed into multiple light poles, which caused the car to flip on its roof and slid to a stop at N Frio St and Medina.
First responders transported two passengers from the vehicle to an area hospital. One passenger was in stable condition. The other was in critical condition.
Officers arrested the driver of the Camry and charged them with intoxication assault.
