SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT, a suspected impaired driver struck and killed a motorcyclist on Blanco Rd near Wilderness Oak Sunday.
A Ford Focus driver made an illegal U-turn in the northbound lane and collided with a male motorcyclist. The collision ejected the motorcyclist from their vehicle.
Rescue crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the accident.
Firefighters extricated the driver from the Focus and transported them to an area hospital in critical condition. Authorities will charge the driver with intoxication manslaughter when they are released from the hospital.
Officials have not released the names of the driver or motorcyclist.
