WESLACO, TX – One person was hurt in a three-vehicle wreck on the 100 block of Texas Blvd N Saturday, according to KRGV.
Lorenzo Isidro Abrego, 23, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado south in the northbound lanes of Texas Blvd N when he collided head-on with a Kia Rio. The collision caused the Rio to roll over and strike a third vehicle.
Rescue crews extricated the Rio driver from the vehicle and transported them to an area hospital.
Authorities charged Abrego with intoxication assault with a vehicle, accident involving damage to vehicle, and accident involving serious bodily injury. They also charged Abrego’s passenger, Raquel Tovar Chavez, 23, with resisting arrest.
