SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KENS 5, a passenger died when a suspected intoxicated driver slammed into a concrete median on Hwy 281 Sunday.
A Chevrolet Silverado driver was weaving in and out of traffic when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with the concrete median before coming to rest in a construction zone around 2 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the passenger dead at the scene of the accident. They transported the driver to an area hospital in unknown condition. Authorities determined the driver was impaired.
Police will charge the driver with intoxication manslaughter.
