SAN ANTONIO ā At around 1:40 p.m today (Wednesday, Feb 26th) a Ford truck with a trailer that had been reported stolen was spotted by a DPS trooper patrolling on SH-151. The driver refused to stop when pursued by the trooper and continued on US-90 West before exiting at Cuppels Road.
The driver led a low-speed chase through the neighborhood that resulted in three separate car accidents. The trooper was able to get in front of the truck and deploy a spike strip that disabled the vehicle at the intersection of Brazos and Colima. The 28-year-old suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. The suspect has been charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, reckless driving, theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
