PHARR, TX – A two-vehicle collision killed two women at Jackson Rd and Whalen Rd Friday, according to KURV.
Frida Nunez-Garza, 21, was driving a Honda Accord south on Jackson Rd when she strayed into the northbound lane and struck a GMC Terrain driven by Evelina Silva, 40, head-on.
Rescue crews pronounced Garza dead at the scene of the accident. They transported Silva to an area hospital, where she later died.
The incident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
