ODESSA, TX – According to Odessa American, a driver fled the scene after striking a motorcycle at S Grant Ave and Monahans St on August 23.
Steven Ramos, 21, was driving a Toyota Camry west on Monahans when he ran a stop sign and hit Mark Helbert, who was riding a motorcycle on Monahans St.
Following the collision, Ramos fled the scene of the accident. Authorities eventually located him and charged him on suspicion of failure to stop and render aid.
Helbert died from his injuries.
