MERCEDES, TX – According to Valley Central, a male driver slammed into a car parked on the shoulder on the 200 block of E I-2 after falling asleep at the wheel Monday.
A Nissan driver fell asleep and crashed into a Chevrolet Cruze around 7:23 a.m.
Rescue crews transported the driver to an area hospital with possible internal injuries and a broken ankle.
The incident is under investigation by the Mercedes Police Department.
