SAN ANTONIO, TX – A grand jury has indicted an alleged drunk driver in connection with a fatal crash on Villamain Rd near Shane Rd on Nov. 30, 2021.
According to Fox San Antonio, Ernest Rodriguez, 45, was driving a Chevy Pickup truck with a passenger, Jasmine Casiano, 19, at excessive speeds south on Villamain Rd when he missed a curve near Shane Rd and slammed into a tree.
First responders were called to the crash site around 11 p.m. They extricated the two occupants and transported Casiano to an area hospital in critical condition. She would die from her injuries at the hospital.
Rodriguez was charged with intoxication manslaughter and could face up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $10,000.
