SEGUIN, TX – A wrong-way collision on Hwy 123 near Elm Creek Rd claimed the lives of two people and injured four others on Saturday.
According to My San Antonio, Christopher Lee Commiato, 41, was driving an SUV with four passengers on southbound Hwy 123 when he strayed into the northbound lanes and collided with a Toyota Tundra driven by a man from Stockdale at around 8:25 a.m.
Commiato and a passenger from the SUV, Crystal Marie Commiato Martinez, 43, died in the collision. First responders transported four others, including an 8-year-old boy, to an area hospital. Two of the four hospitalized were originally in critical condition but are now reported to be in stable condition.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
