BROWNSVILLE, TX – According to KRGV, a hit-and-run driver fatally collided with a pedestrian on the 2200 block of Boca Chica Blvd Friday.
The driver of a westbound white SUV hit Joanna Cardenas, 41, as she was crossing the road at around 9:30 p.m.
First responders pronounced Cardenas dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver fled the area following the collision.
Authorities urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.
