SAN ANTONIO, TX – An impaired driver fatally struck a bicyclist on Basse Rd near McCullough Ave on March 22, according to KSAT.
Bella Dae Garza was driving west on Basse Rd with a child in her car when she hit Emilian Ramirez, 18, on the side of the road around 10 p.m. Following the collision, Garza’s vehicle struck a tree.
First responders transported Garza and her child to an area hospital. It is unclear if Ramirez died at the scene of the accident or a local hospital.
Officers charged Garza with child endangerment and intoxication manslaughter.
