SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man punched out a fire station window after crashing his truck around 10:30 last night, reports Fox San Antonio.
The crash took place at the intersection of Taft Boulevard and Nogalitos Street. The driver lost control of his pickup truck and crashed through a bus stop before hitting a utility pole.
When police arrived at the scene, they could not locate the driver because he had left the vehicle, gone to a fire station, and punched the window. Punching the window left the driver with a major cut that severed an artery. The driver was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery. He is expected to survive his injuries.
Police say the driver may have taken drugs before the accident and blood tests are currently pending.
