CAMERON COUNTY, TX – According to KRGV, a fatal three-vehicle collision happened on TX 48 Sunday.
The driver of a GMC Sierra was heading east on TX 48 when they collided with a stationary Ford Ranger driven by Heriberto Solis, 71, that was facing south in the eastbound lanes of TX 48 around 10:15 p.m.
The collision propelled the Ranger to the westbound lanes of TX 48, where it collided with a Chevrolet Malibu. The impact launched Solis from the vehicle.
Rescue crews transported Solis to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials have not released the names of the other people involved in the incident.
