ELSA, TX – According to Valley Central, a motorcyclist died after slamming into a disabled vehicle at Mile 4 W and FM 1925 Saturday.
The driver of a blue pickup truck was heading south on Mile 4 W when they failed to yield and collided with a silver Chevrolet Silverado around 12:38 a.m. The crash disabled the Silverado and the blue pickup truck driver fled the scene of the accident.
Gustavo Vasquez Cervantes, 68, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on FM 1925 when he plowed into the Silverado. Cervantes became pinned underneath his motorcycle.
Rescue crews transported Cervantes to an area hospital, where he died.
The incident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety. They urge anyone with information concerning the blue pickup truck to contact them.
