SAN ANTONIO, TX – An officer shot a driver whose car struck him in the leg at the McDonald’s located at 11700 Blanco Rd Sunday, according to KSAT.
The officer was called to the scene around 10:30. Shortly after, a vehicle hit the officer in the leg as its driver attempted to leave the area. Authorities said the officer shot into the fleeing car multiple times, and at least one bullet struck the driver.
Rescue crews transported the driver to an area hospital where he underwent surgery.
Following the incident, the officer was placed on administrative leave.
