PHARR, TX – On Tuesday morning, a Jeep crashed into another vehicle while speeding on East U.S. Business 83.
The incident occurred at 9:10 a.m. on May 5, near the intersection of East U.S. Business 83 and North Dogwood Street. According to My Accident, a 30-year-old man was driving his black 2008 Jeep at high speed. The Jeep rear-ended a 25-year-old man driving a blue 2014 Honda.
An officer from the Pharr Police Department reported that the right-front portion of the Jeep struck the back-left portion of the Honda during the incident. Both vehicles sustained minimal damage, and the cars were able to drive away from the scene without tow-truck assistance.
Neither the 25-year-old nor the 30-year-old were injured in the accident.
The police charged the driver in the Jeep with failure to control speed on the road. The Jeep’s driver will be held responsible for causing the accident.
