SAN ANTONIO, TX – A stolen SUV crashed into a utility pole early Monday, causing power outages, according to NEWS4.
Authorities say the accident occurred at Applewhite Road and Loop 1604 around 4:00 a.m. Police found an abandoned SUV had collided with a utility pole and wedged itself on top of a fire hydrant.
The crash caused around 1,500 people to lose power. CPS Energy personnel restored power soon after the incident.
Investigators say the SUV in question had been reported stolen out of Live Oak. It remains unclear if authorities have apprehended the suspect.
