SAN ANTONIO, TX – The San Antonio Police Department detained a driver, who they suspected of drunk driving, after a car chase through Castle Hills on Friday morning.
At approximately 4:00 a.m. on May 22, the police located a car driving the wrong direction near Jackson Keller Road and West Avenue. As police attempted the stop the vehicle, the driver sped away from the officers.
KSAT 12 reports that the police chased the driver through the Castle Hills area on Broadway Street. The San Antonio Police Department and the Castle Hills Police Department worked together to stop the driver near the North Star Mall.
The driver was stopped without injuries, and he did not harm any other vehicles or people during the chase.
Officials believe the driver was intoxicated, which caused him to drive in the wrong direction on the road. The driver was detained under suspicion of DWI and for failing to stop for the police.
