CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Three cars collided and seriously injured one of the drivers in an accident that occurred at the intersection of Northwest Boulevard and FM 1889 on Monday morning
Kris 6 News reports that two pick-up trucks crashed in the intersection at approximately 11:20 a.m. on May 18. The police believe the drivers were speeding to beat the yellow traffic light. The force of the collision pushed the trucks into a silver Mitsubishi driven by a 35-year-old woman.
An officer from the Corpus Christi Police Department stated that a 19-year-old driver in one of the pick-up trucks sustained major injuries in the accident. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, and he is currently in serious condition.
The driver in the Mitsubishi was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries from the accident. Neither the driver nor the passenger in the second pick-up truck was injured.
The police are still investigating this accident to determine fault and give appropriate citations.
