MCALLEN, TX – An uninsured driver was injured on Monday when she made an unsafe lane change and collided with another vehicle on North 10th Street.
According to My Accident, the crash occurred at 12:55 p.m. on May 4. The 70-year-old woman was driving her blue 2005 Chevrolet on North 10th Street near Fullerton Avenue. The driver decided to change lanes, but she did not see the white 2019 GMC that was in the adjacent lane.
An officer from the McAllen Police Department reported that the front of the GMC struck the back of the Chevrolet, during the unsafe lane change. The Chevrolet sustained minimal damage during the accident. However, the GMC was severely damaged and required a tow truck to remove it from the scene.
Neither the 62-year-old driver nor the 48-year-old passenger in the GMC was injured in the accident. The Chevroletās driver sustained injuries from the collision, but there is no information about the type or severity of these injuries.
The police officer at the scene charged the 70-year-old woman for driving without insurance.
