CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Kris 6 News reports that the woman who died after she drove her car into the Oso Bay last week has been identified.
The name of the 31-year-old driver was Amanda Zavala according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
It has not been determined if the driver and the young girl rescued from the half-submerged car were related.
The Corpus Christi police department has not said whether speed was a factor when the car turned around and ended up in the water early Friday morning. However, authorities advise caution when driving at night.
The investigation into the accident remains on-going.
