CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – KIII reports that the man whose vehicle crashed into a display car at a Nissan dealership has passed away.
In an update to a previous story, Romeo Romero, 20, succumbed to injuries sustained after he drove off the freeway in front of the Ed Hicks Nissan dealership and crashed into a display car, causing significant damage.
Chelsea Cano, a family member, wrote on Facebook, “After a bad car accident Sunday, he passed away May 25, 2020, at 10:25 p.m. Your prayers and well wishes are appreciated.”
Romero’s family said that the deceased did not have life insurance at the time of his death, so they’re attempting to raise money via PayPal and CashApp to cover funeral expenses.
