SAN ANTONIO, TX – A woman was critically injured when her SUV was rear-ended by another vehicle on the 410 loop late last night, KSAT reports.
Police say the incident occurred at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes near Wonderland of the Americas, where the woman’s Toyota Rav4 stalled out. A black Toyota Tundra was traveling westbound behind another vehicle which swerved suddenly to avoid the stalled Rav4, leaving the Tundra’s driver without enough time to do the same.
The Tundra slammed into the back of the Rav4, critically injuring the woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Emergency responders rushed the 27-year-old victim to University Hospital, where she remained in critical condition as of this morning.
Police are continuing to investigate.
