CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Two people are in the hospital following a wrong-way collision near South Padre Island Drive and Hwy 44 Sunday, according to KIII TV.
An impaired 29-year-old driver collided with another vehicle head-on sometime Sunday morning. First responders transported both drivers to an area hospital. The victim suffered serious injuries in the collision.
Police will charge the impaired driver with Intoxication Assault when he is released from the hospital.
