ABOUT BEACH TO BAY

Beach to Bay, beginning in 1976, is a six-leg running event in Corpus Christi, Texas. Beach to Bay has grown to become one of the largest relay runs in the United States and attracts people from all over the world with an annual registration rate of over 2,000 teams.

Beach to Bay allows participants to either run solo or as a team of 2 or 6. The total distance is approximately 26.2 miles along the Gulf Coast beach, pavement (including the JFK causeway!), sweat, maybe a tear, and lots of smiles. The race starts on the sands of North Padre Island, goes through the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi,  and ending at McCaughan Park along Corpus Christi’s scenic Shoreline Drive, with each leg about 4.4 miles each. Beach to Bay is typically held on the third Saturday in May, also known as Armed Forces Day. Beach to Bay honors the men and women serving in our United States Military with sincere pride.
